Friday’s Featured Female – Leryn Franco

In the spirit of the London games we feature Paraguayan javelin competitor Leryn Franco. Born on March 1, 1982 Franco has been on the world stage in her sport for quite some time. In 1998 she broke national records for the under 17 age group in both javelin and the triple jump. Following those performances she won bronze in 1999 and 2000 and was the South American under 23 champion in 2004.

Franco has never had a podium finish in the Olympics but it seems that her modelling career has taken control and has been the focus of her attention. Never the less she is a sight to see and has to be one of the best looking Olympians to participate.
